These are not meant to be eaten out of hand like one would a regular orange, they are too sour and sharp for that.I grow them as a lime substitute instead. Then I thought they were some sort of cross between an ant and a wasp...finally, I figured out that it is a solitary wasp.This is the first year I have seen them in our garden. Unlike their cousins, the social wasps, they rarely sting. Another good thing about these guys is that they larvae feeds on, among other things, grubs!
