Buttercups

Lovely flowers during the spring and summer. In fall flowering starts to be sporadic and comes to a stop (at least for me) during winter.
Positives: they attract beneficial pollinators & when in bloom the plant is beautiful. Does not need much care & adapts to any soil. Negatives: it reseeds freely, so if you are a neat freak this is not a plant for you. It flowers for about 4 hours or so each day (starting around ten in the morning)...so very early in the morning and later in the day (as well as during the cooler months) you'll only see its foliage, which tends to look a bit weedy.
