This is that strip (usually planted with grass) that is between the street and the side walk. I just finished taking the grass off and will plant some cactus, some perennials & some annuals (like my Florida Cranberry bushes I just started from seed and will be ready to fruit by Thanksgiving).Thus far I have an avocado (for which I have to get another tree so they can get romantic...avocados are not self-pollinators), a tiny Brown Turkey fig tree that is already setting fruit, a Sea Grape (to block street view eventually), white trailing lantanas & Scarlet Runner beans. Lotsa work...but oh so worth it!
