I might be in a sleeping bag, but I ain't stupid

I had read about this a while back but never actually seen it myself. Butterflies' chrysalis defend themselves by vibrating, making sounds, or by emitting toxic secretions.

So here it is, a B-quality video based on the true story of Ninja Pupa, called "Ninja Pupa, The Shakin' of the Spider."
NOTE: you might want to turn the volume down as the bird's chirping in the background are quite loud...sorry, I did ask them to be quiet but they'd have none of it.

Worth your time, really.

Here are ten quick 10 minute videos each. They are all part of The Future of Food, an enlightening documentary I found online.

I read a lot about this in Michael Pollan, Paul Roberts & Marion Nestle's books...and as she says "vote with your fork." The more we understand about where our food comes from and the more steps we take to change this bad situation the healthier and better off we'll all be. But don't take my word for it and go to Monsanto's own website to hear their side of the story. That's the only way you can make up your own mind.

It is no wonder that farmers (specially within the dairy industry are taking their own lives at an alarming rate...reminds you of the post Monsanto India, no?)...for another bright minded piece of writing concerning the possible reasons for these farmer's suicide wave click here.

Food Inc.

If you are not a reader but would like to learn more about how our food got to be the -sorry- state it is today, here's Food Inc.'s movie trailer...worth the money, I think.

The movie opens June 12.

Lastly, by going here you can make your voice heard by signing a petition to make school lunches healthier...oh come on! Go and do it! I did it and I am allergic to kids! ☺
