Pentas

This one is one of my favorite plants. It is easy to grow, easy to propagate, visited by swallowtails, hummingbirds, bees, you name it. This particular Pentas is now almost four years old and was just chopped back almost to the ground (merely because it got on the way of me painting the fence blue) and it coming back nicely.
To propagate: cut a young branch, cut the flower buds off, pinch the lower leaves off leaving about two sets of leaves, place cutting in water in plenty of light but not much direct sunlight. It should root in a couple of weeks. Transfer to a pot once the plant has a nice set of roots.
