I am thinking I might start writing the blog in English and Spanish soon.

I am a firm believer that émigrés should always learn, or at least make an effort to learn, the language of the country they live in. It is a matter of respect and appreciation for the country that took you in. I disagree with the "press one for Spanish" way of life...but the blog world and Internet are a different story since one can have visitors from anywhere in the globe...I'll sleep on it...
