Thai Basil

If you love basil but yours keep bolting due to our summer heat, try Thai Basil...it seems to do well in partial shade during the summers. Easy to propagate by simply placing a cutting in water under indirect sunlight. Delicious!

Thanks for the tip! I'm in Tampa Bay area and have a really difficult time keeping basil for more than a month or so.

You are welcome & thanks for visiting! Just a reminder: their pretty purple flowers are edible (they taste just like the basil) and they look lovely in salads or on top of a bowl of soup.

Another basil that is doing surprisingly well in the garden is the lemon basil I started from seed in the spring. It tastes very mild and refreshing. Hope this helps ☺
