Florida Cranberry (aka Sorrel) plant & flowers
Look at these beauties! The flowers start a pale yellow and turn a bit pink as the day progresses. A Jamaican guy who lives near us taught me that to make the drink I have to wait until after the flowers fall and the remainder of the bud swells up. That is the part used to make the drink or 'cranberry' sauce. Should be able to do it in November. The plants are over six feet tall and almost as wide and need absolutely no water or care. I planted them from seed in May.
