Leptoglossus oppositus

Leptoglossus Oppositus aka Leaffooted bug (Lphyllopus)...or...gah! gross!

Here is the info I found in my Garden Insects of North America book by Whitney Cranshaw (this book is truly worth the 30 bucks).

"Common in the eastern half of the U.S. and is also found in southern California. Thistle is its most common host in Florida, and in Kansas it is common on yucca. It may also occur on tender shoots, buds, and fruits of a wide variety of plants and may incidently damage some fruit and nut crops"...you think? I say off with their heads!
