I like its flowers even better once they have completely opened became almost entirely white, which I prefer to the pink.
These plants are about as needy as a low maintenance rose...except they have very different needs. Camellias like morning sun, rich soil, blah blah blah. If you'd like more camellia info I found this wonderful site.
