Its name sounds like someone whom you would not want to be friends with or some sort of fatal illness...but this is a lovely shrub for Florida.
If you love pea flowers, then this plant is for you. There are more photos of the actual flowers in this blog (buds only shown here) and you can see them if you just scroll down a bit (or a lot, not sure :)
Drought tolerant & grows up to six feet if left unpruned.
Positives: attracts pollinators, drought tolerant, low maintenance, gorgeous flowers most of the year.
Negatives: will tell you in about a year if I find any.
