Amaranath Red Stripe Leaf

Positives: fast growing (planted seeds and about six weeks later I was eating it in salads), tasty (almost like a mild lettuce minus the strong crunch), beautiful in the garden and in the dinner plate. Other than a slug here and there no pests thus far.
Negatives: after having it in several salads I find that texturally I prefer the plain red and round green amaranath varieties. My issue with the Red Stripe amaranath is that its veins are a bit harsh even when the leaves are young...in the future I'll stick with the other varieties...although I will finish this pack of seeds which I'll grow for salad emergencies & for its ornamental beauty.
