And came back with this, a flame vine. It was an impulse buy, well sort of...I have been toying with the idea of it for a while now, mostly to feed hummers...but just now I remembered why I had been hesitant to buy it in the past. Let's just say that anything with the word "vigorous" in the label is something that truly needs to be kept on check at all times and should never be planted near utility poles, trees, or structures (other than fences meant to be beautifully covered by it, that is).
The only spot I have to plant it is near some trees in the back garden. I am going to study this plant's info a bit more to be certain of what the worse outcome would be if planted in that spot.
